SAGEMCOM’S XMEDIUSFAX® 7.5 INCLUDES FEATURES SUCH AS G.711 PASS-THROUGH WITH ENCRYPTED SRTP AND NEW VERSIONS OF ECOPY SHARESCAN AND SHARP OSA XMEDIUSFAX® CONNECTORS.
Montreal, Canada (November 19th, 2013) – Sagemcom, the global leader in advanced IP fax server solutions, supporting the T.38 FoIP since 2002, is delighted to announce XMediusFAX® 7.5.
In addition of its interoperability with the T.38 Fax Relay, XMediusFAX® can now transmit faxes with the G.711 Pass-through with Encrypted Fax Transmission protocol (SRTP). The 7.5 release of XMediusFAX® also offers new eCopy ShareScan and Sharp OSA XMediusFAX® connectors for Multifunction Devices (MFDs).
The support of the G.711 protocol allows VoIP providers and users to leverage XMediusFAX 7.5 for a broader range of interoperability with all IP gateways. Easy to install and configure, the G.711 Pass-through comes with Encrypted Fax Transmission protocol (SRTP), for secured fax transmissions; a must in industries such as healthcare, legal and finance.
XMediusFAX® 7.5 also supports new connectors for Sharp OSA and eCopy ShareScan. These connectors include new features such as Secured HTTP via Web Services, several User Authentication methods and support for Sagemcom's cloud-based fax solution. In addition, the user interface of the XMediusFAX® Sharp OSA and eCopy ShareScan connectors (on MFDs) are now available in 7 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Russian.
The eCopy Connector for XMediusFAX® allows users to effortlessly fax paper documents directly from an eCopy-enabled scanning device, by converting paper documents into electronic copies.
The XMediusFAX® Sharp OSA Connector integrates with Sharp Digital Imager MPDs, giving users convenient access to faxing capabilities on the same devices used for printing, scanning and copying.
“In addition to the T.38 Fax Relay supported since 2002, we are very pleased to offer our partners and customers the option of transporting faxes using the G.711 Pass-through, making XMediusFAX® interoperable with all IP gateways,” stated Jean Champagne, General Manager of Sagemcom Canada. “Like all our previous software releases we based our features and enhancements on the feedback of our most important resource - our partners and customers.”
